Yolanda T. Moses

Yolanda T. Moses, vice provost for conflict resolution, special assistant to the chancellor for excellence and professor of anthropology at the University of California at Riverside, served on the Ford Foundation Board of Trustees. She was a member of three board committees: Investment; Audit; and Peace and Social Justice.
Until 2003, Dr. Moses was president of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education at George Washington University and from 1993 to 1999 was president of the City College of New York. Earlier, she was vice president of academic affairs at California State University in Dominguez Hills, where she was also a professor of anthropology.
Dr. Moses is a member of the executive committee of the American Association for Sustainability in Higher Education and a trustee of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. She also serves on the Women's Rights Advisory Committee of Human Rights Watch. She is a former president of the American Anthropological Association.
Dr. Moses is a native of Los Angeles. She earned her doctorate and her master's degree from the University of California at Riverside. She received her bachelor's degree from California State College.
