Summary Description
Key position in the art department of the Office of Communications helping to develop and implement high level of design and brand expression over an array of projects, both print and web-based. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team of designers, editorial staff, web producers and outside vendors. Manages assigned projects from start to finish including successful interaction with foundation staff and external contributors. Principal duties and responsibilities include: Design and Production/Project Coordination; Estimating and Scheduling; Macintosh Software and Hardware Maintenance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in art or design
• Minimum of 7 years experience in print and web graphic design
• Both Mac and PC proficient
• Strong typographic skills
• In depth understanding of Quark Xpress, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash. Understanding of HTML, CSS and text editing programs a plus
• Understanding of Macintosh operating systems
• Experience bidding print projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to function collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to manage a project from concept to production, often working quickly and with tight deadlines
• Good writing skills
• Excellent eye for detail
• Concern for quality throughout design and production process.

Salary
$47,300 – $56,400
