Summary Description
The Manager of Travel Services is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Foundation's Travel Service Office and manages the staff of on-site travel agents and the relationship between the Foundation and its contracted travel agency. The individual in this position: assists senior management in the review and revision of travel policy procedures; in the development and implementation of cost-effective management strategies; selects and negotiates agreements with preferred vendors (airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, etc.); works closely with Foundation staff in planning and coordinating travel-related arrangements for off-site conferences and meetings; arranges and coordinates travel and housing for short-term relocations; assures that travel arrangements comply with the Foundation travel policies.

Qualifications
• A minimum of eight years of professional experience in travel management • A minimum of six years managing a site location for a large international non-profit organization or mid-size global company • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts with travel service providers (airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, etc.) • Strong ability to foster adherence to the Foundation's travel policy • Significant "hands-on" experience with international meeting planning using a computerized booking system • Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills (i.e. flexibility, diplomacy, empathy and listening skills) • Strong project management skills; extensive experience in group travel arrangements and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Extensive operating and budgeting experience • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills • An orientation toward customer service and responsiveness • Ability to motivate staff through effective leadership, mentoring, coaching, development, facilitation, evaluation and reward

Salary
$77,800 - $92,900
