Samantha Gilbert is the foundation’s vice president for talent and human resources, guiding human resources strategy and talent management worldwide.
Before joining the foundation in 2014, Samantha served for seven years as chief human resources officer at the Rockefeller Foundation. Previously, she spent 10 years at Christie’s International, a multinational company with a diverse art business portfolio, where she rose to become senior vice president, global head of human resources. Earlier, Samantha was the human resources manager at the Jewish Museum in New York and a human resources coordinator for the New York City Department of Health. She began her career as a social worker in New York City’s public schools.
Samantha serves on the board of directors of Cool Culture, a nonprofit organization that works to ensure that New York City’s most diverse families and preschool-aged children have access to arts and culture as a way to increase literacy and learning.
Samantha earned a master’s degree in public administration from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Adelphi University. She holds a certification in organizational and executive coaching from New York University.
