On Wednesday, May 7, the foundation was pleased to host Philanthropy New York’s 35th Annual Meeting, with featured guest Hillary Rodham Clinton. Philanthropy New York is the principal professional community of philanthropic foundations based in the New York City region.

The public portion of the event included short presentations by and conversations with three fascinating women: Janet Mock, trustee of the Arcus Foundation; Farhana Khera, president and executive director of Muslim Advocates; and Anu Bhagwati, executive director of Service Women’s Action Network.

The featured guest, former US secretary of state and Clinton Foundation trustee Hillary Rodham Clinton, sat down with Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts for a discussion about how philanthropy, government, and international bodies can work together to strengthen rights and opportunities for women and girls everywhere.

Twenty years after her pivotal role in the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, Clinton is advancing a new effort at the Clinton Foundation to identify just how much progress we’ve made on issues central to women and girls at home and abroad. No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project will help chart the path forward to accelerate full participation for women and girls in the 21st century.
