Chimene Okere is a program associate on the foundation’s Cities and States team. In this role, he supports the team in analyzing, evaluating, and communicating programmatic goals related to building statewide social justice infrastructure.
Prior to joining Ford, he served as an appointed special adviser within the Obama administration’s Small Business Administration (SBA). While there, he managed stakeholder engagement in the Office of Capital Access, focusing on expanding access to financing for underserved communities and entrepreneurs.
Originally from Chicago, Chimene resides in Brooklyn, New York. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis in economics and Italian.
