Tanaya Srini is a technology fellow sitting under Civic Engagement and Government. Her focus is new technologies and the threats and opportunities they pose to local and state governments and economies. She studied city planning at MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning. She is also a graduate of Wesleyan University, where she studied philosophy, politics and economics. Before completing her graduate studies, she was a researcher at the Urban Institute and studied g how technology can increase economic equity and social inclusion in cities. She holds research affiliations with the National Housing Law Project and MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning, where she continues to study evictions and fair housing, particularly in post-disaster settings.
